All the downloadable copies allow you to run the plugin for 30 days with all the features enabled. All the documentation and tutorials are included. At any time during this period you can purchase the plugin and authorize it to have it change into the commerical version.

Each download copy includes complete documentation and tutorials.

Each plugin is designed to run on a particular version of 3DS MAX/VIZ. Attempting to run a plugin on an incompatible version will produce unpredictable results.

Installation

1. Unzip the file to into a temporary directory, eg. c:\temp.
   
   
2. Close 3DS MAX if it is running.
   
   
3. Run the setup.exe program to install the plugin.
   NOTE! Ensure you have administrative privileges before running setup.exe. Only run setup.exe from Explorer and NOT File Manager.
   
   
4. Run 3DS MAX.
   
   
5. If the plugin was installed successfully you'll see the Illustrate! menu item in the main menu bar. Click on it to start the plugin.
   The 30 day trial period will then begin.

Upgrades

Contact Digimation to upgrade your copy of Illustrate!. You will need to provide the serial number of your existing copy.

Upgrading from Illustrate! 4.0 to Illustrate! 4.1

To upgrade for free from Illustrate! 4.0 complete the following:

1. If you haven't registered your copy of Illustrate! 4.0 with Digimation do so now.
2. Download Illustrate! 4.1
3. Install the plugin. Run 3DS MAX.
4. Click on the Illustrate! menu item then on the Authorize button.
5. Send the Illustrate! 4.1 Application ID to Digimation.
6. If you have registered your existing copy of Illustrate! 4.0 they will send you an authorization code.
7. Enter the code into the Authorization dialog box to authorize the plugin.
